Copywriting CHALLENGE Slipps is an Australian online slipper retailer built around a pretty unexpected mix — astronauts and slippers. The problem was figuring out how those two worlds could actually live together in a way that felt intentional rather than random, while still helping the brand stand out in a category full of safe, cosy clichés.
SOLUTION The brand is built around the line “We’re on another planet,” tapping into the slightly wild, uninhibited version of yourself that comes out when you’re completely comfortable. I leaned into that looseness through the shared idea of weightlessness, even letting the copy literally slip off the page. Visually, I paired a vibrant, optimistic orange with a deep galaxy blue and gave the brand a playful, off-hand tone of voice to match.
RESULT
The identity gave Slipps something genuinely different in a very same-same market. Instead of blending in with soft neutrals and fuzzy comfort cues, the brand carved out a bold and memorable personality that helped it feel fresh, distinctive and hard to ignore.
